ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - 19 Apple computers are back in the Albuquerque Public Schools' possession after a juvenile was arrested with them in his car.

Saturday morning, just after midnight, APS police say someone broke into the computer lab at Ernie Pyle Middle School. BCSO deputies found the computers after stopping some suspicious activity around 3:30 in the morning. One person was arrested.

“"He's a 16 year old offender; I don't know exactly what his criminal background is at this time. Wont be able to learn that until the juveniles authorities office re-opens on Tuesday," said Detective Bob Rohlfs with APS Police.

Rohlfs says he conservatively estimates the computers are worth more than $20,000. Security cameras around the school caught the heist, Rohlfs says he and other agencies will review the video and see if there are other suspects.
