ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque man is in jail after allegedly turning his neighbor's garage sale into a nightmare, according to police.

Police said Alizandro Sainz, 61, took a gun to his neighbor's garage sale Saturday morning.

The incident happened on the 8200 block of Nerisa Court SW.

Police said Sainz was drunk when he threatened to shoot his neighbor and to call immigration because he claimed his neighbor was in the U.S. illegally.

Sainz is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of child abuse because children allegedly witnessed the confrontation.

The judge warned him Sunday that he must stay away from his neighbor who has already filed a restraining order.
