ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Violent-crimes detectives are investigating what is being called a suspicious death in northeast Albuquerque.
A body was found in a home on Stilwell Drive around 7:30 Saturday morning.
The cops say someone called them, saying their neighbor's door was open and nobody had been at the house in a while.
“It wasn't a call where an individual heard shots, officers showed up and they located an individual, this was they just knocked on the door and found somebody that was on the floor deceased,” Sgt. Donovan Olvera said.
Neighbors report hearing four loud bangs near the house but APD isn't saying if they suspect those noises were gunshots.
Police also have not said if they are looking for a suspect.
