APD investigates two shootings

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque police are trying to figure out if a murder Sunday night is connected to another shooting.
At about 1 o’clock Monday morning police responded to an area near San Mateo and Gibson after people heard gunshots.
Officers found a man dead and say he had been shot in the chest.
Minutes later police got a second call about a block away from someone saying another man was found shot.
He was transported to UNM hospital.
Police are trying to figure out if the men knew each other.
“We don't know it's still early stages of the investigation so we don't know what the motive is,” Officer Danny Padilla said.
Police are not releasing the names of the two victims yet.
They are also not saying if they have any suspects.
