The Nampa, Idaho police department has canceled an Amber Alert for a missing 2-year-old girl that they said may have been abducted by her mother, who doesn't have custody.
Police said the child and her mother were spotted in New Mexico, so the alert for Idaho and Nevada was no longer necessary.
Police issued the alert Tuesday evening, and said young Catelyn Sandoval was last seen at her home in Nampa possibly wearing a green sun dress. She was described as being about three-feet tall, 35 pounds, with brown shoulder-length hair, brown eyes and a bump on her forehead.
Police said she was with her mother, Georgina Sandoval, and that they may be accompanied by a man. Police had received reports that the group was seen in Farmington, New Mexico, where the mother has family. They may have been driving a newer model silver Chevrolet Cobalt.
