Accused man slashes brother’s abdomen

ALBQUERUQUE (KRQE) - State police arrested a man for allegedly using a knife to slash his own brother Saturday.
Police say Raymond Maldonado, 51, showed up at his brother, Matthew Maldonado’s home near Isleta and Rio Bravo to settle a financial debt.
That is when the two started fighting and police say Maldonado pulled out a combat knife and slashed his brother's abdomen, exposing his internal organs.
He is charged with aggravated batter on a household member.
Matthew Maldonado is expected to survive.
