ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man caught on tape robbing a local pharmacy at gunpoint is now facing federal charges.
Police say 42-year-old James Tafoya is the man who walked into a CVS store on Menaul in November, pulled a semi-automatic gun and ordered an employee to open the safe and fill the bag with drugs.
He made off with tens of thousands of dollars worth of high powered pain killers.
Now federal prosecutors are going after Tafoya.
He's been indicted on three counts interfering with interstate commerce, using a firearm to carry out an act of violence and theft of medical products.
