ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The case of the alleged arroyo molester just got a whole lot more complicated Wednesday.
Genaro Sandoval was arrested several years ago after prosecutors say DNA linked him to the sexual assault of a boy in an Albuquerque arroyo.
He's also accused of a series of sexual attacks in northeast heights arroyos between 2003 and 2005.
Prosecutors wanted to combine those cases into one trial, because of the lack of DNA evidence in those other cases.
But Wednesday a judge said no and said each case must be tried separately.
Sandoval's first trial is expected to start on Monday, but no word yet on which case.
