ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The man accused of being the ‘arroyo molester’ says no to a plea deal.
Genaro Sandoval was arrested nearly four years ago after DNA linked him to the sexual assault of a boy in an Albuquerque arroyo.
He is accused in a series of sexual attacks in northeast heights arroyos between 2003 and 2005.
It appeared Sandoval would accept a plea deal that would have put him away for 54 years. At the last minute, he said "no."
Now he will go to trial where he faces as much as 94 years if convicted.
