FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) - FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) Police said they arrested two men after finding more than one pound of meth and two ounces of cocaine during warrant searches.
Early Wednesday morning, four police agencies searched the Knights Inn and two homes in Farmington. Raul Fierro-Gonzales, 35, and Marcos Ramirez were arrested when police found drugs and firearms, according to authorities. In all, four guns and three cars were seized during the search.
Police said the investigation revolved around Fierro-Gonzales. He’s a Mexican National who belongs to a multi-state trafficking organization, according to police. Police charged him with possession of meth and intent to distribute.
Ramirez is a member of the same trafficking organization, police said. He’s been charged with possession of cocaine and intent to distribute meth.
Authorities say there is a growing methamphetamine problem in the Four Corners area. The Region II Narcotics Task Force has been assigned to curb it.
