ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque police continue to search for the main suspect in an alleged kidnapping, false imprisonment and prostitution case, a police spokesperson said Wednesday.

The man, only known as "T," was overheard by the victim saying he was planning to pick up another girl from the airport before she made her escape. Ebony Archie told police she was able to run out of the home where she had been held captive for nearly two weeks when "T" failed to lock the door.

Archie then ran to a home where she saw the most cars, and hoped that someone would answer the door to help her.

"I was just in my room watching some TV, and next thing you know I get a knock," said a man who did not want to release his name. "I've never heard a woman in such, just in such a horrible situation."

From the man's home, which was several houses away from where "T" lived, Archie called 911.

She told dispatchers a man named "T" and his girlfriend had held her captive and forced her to sell her body.

Marco Ramirez, who lived next door to the suspect, said he had always been suspicious of "T" after they became neighbors several months ago.

"I guess my sister would hear screams at night," Ramirez said.

The screams he and his family heard coming from his neighbor's home a couple weeks ago, he thought, were from a movie. It's why he said he never called police.

Police said "T" lived with Elizabeth Gade. She was arrested Tuesday and faced a judge for the first time Wednesday on a charges including promoting prostitution.

Wade, who is being held on a $50,000 cash or surety bond, moved to Albuquerque about four months ago from Minnesota, according to her attorney. He told a judge that she has been convicted once before in Nevada for battery on a peace officer.

Archie told police she met "T" a couple weeks ago on the social networking site Mocospace.

"T" flew Archie from North Carolina to his home in Albuquerque after she claimed she'd been abused by a relative.

But once in New Mexico, Archie said "T" bought her clothes and cut her hair, then told her she would need to pay him back by selling her body.

Archie told police "T" took pictures of her in underwear, advertised her as an escort on and then forced her into prostitution.

She told police she met a man at a hotel and slept with him because she was afraid "T" would hurt her.

For nearly two weeks, the woman claimed "T" locked her up in a walk-in closet in the master bedroom of his home when he would leave.

She escaped when he failed to lock the door on Tuesday.

Police watched the home after Archie called 911, hoping "T" would return.

He never did.

"You know, she said that these two people were chasing her," said the man who helped Archie. "I just couldn't believe that this was going on, like, a couple houses down the street.

"I was completely terrified."
