ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Anthony Garcia pled guilty Thursday morning in Federal Court to tainting a yogurt sample with his semen. The 32 year-old Albuquerque man also admitted that he lied to federal investigators.
Garcia handed out the tainted sample to a woman while he was working at Sunflower Market near Corrales in January.
Had he gone to trial, Garcia could have faced up to eight years in prison. However under the plea agreement he faces up to three years behind bars.
Garcia will also need to pay restitution.
The plea agreement still has a disposition hearing before another federal judge who can either accept or deny it.
