ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque police have released the 911 call, moments before a botched SWAT situation last week.

Caller: we just saw two people crawling into a window in the bottom of the house.
Dispatcher: okay.
Caller: we don't think they live there, but we think they're breaking in maybe.

It happened near Juan Tabo and Candelaria last Monday.

Christopher Sosa refused to come out of the home for hours.

He finally escaped after stealing the homeowner’s car, driving out the garage and right through the police blockade.

Police say the department's armored vehicle stalled before it could block the driveway.

Neighbors told 911 dispatchers they warned the burglars they were calling police..

The caller was able to give a good description of the suspect.

Sosa was arrested at a friend’s home four days later.
