ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque police have identified two young men as the suspects in a cruel car theft involving an 89-year-old woman.
On Friday police say the woman was approached by two men who said they needed a jump. When the woman pulled up alongside them the men climbed into her car and took off.
Police say one of the suspects is 28-year-old Roland Ruiz.
Ruiz appeared in court Saturday on auto-theft and conspiracy charges.
Ruiz was arrested after his alleged partner in crime left him a gas station when police showed up.
The second suspect and the victim’s vehicle have yet to be found.
