ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The two men charged with killing a UNM student and dumping his body in a cave near Grants were arraigned in district court Monday.
Bryce Franklin and Clifford Bearden both pleaded not guilty.
The two are charged with shooting 23-year-old Fernando Enriquez , an architecture student at UNM and dumping his body in the cave known as the Double Sinks in El Malpais National Monument.
The incident was on October 31st and Enriquez's body wasn’t found until a month later.
Investigators say it appears Enriquez owed Franklin and Bearden money, but they do not know what for.
