TUCUMCARI, N.M. (KRQE) - State police arrested two teens in a cop car break-in.
Investigators say it happened back in September when the two teens allegedly stole a rifle and other items from the marked patrol car that was in front of the officer's residence in Tucumcari.
Police have tracked down most of the stolen items and arrested 17-year-old Zachary Hurd and 18-year-old Trenton Ward.
Both are charged with receiving or transferring stolen property, tampering with evidence and conspiracy.
More arrests are expected.
