ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque police are still investigating how a little girl died Monday.
Apd's Crimes against Children unit has taken over the investigation, but they are not saying much.
Officials say they were called to a home near Broadway and I-40 around 4 o’clock Monday afternoon.
The 1-year-old girl was found unresponsive and later died at the hospital.
Family members say they do not know much either, except that the child was with her mother at the great grandparents home.
“She was playful she's happy wonderful little girl…just keep her in your prayers for us please,” the baby’s great uncle, Robert Sanchez, said.
Police say there were several people in the home when they arrived.
Investigators have interviewed the parents and released them at this time.
They say they still do not know how the baby died.
Police have not said if they will arrest anyone.
