ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Crews were out in the Bosque Friday doing some spring cleaning in preparation for this year’s wildfire season.
During Friday’s cleanup crews found everything from cigarette butts to dirty drug needles to mini meth labs.
Officials say transients are leaving the Bosque a big mess and that mess poses concerns for potential wildfires.
The crews are doing their best to get the garbage out now before fire season starts, clearing the path to safety so families can enjoy the Bosque as temperatures increase.
