ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A pedestrian is dead after police say two vehicles ran him over. One driver is in custody, but not on charges related to the crash.

Police say a 60-year-old pedestrian was walking outside of the crosswalk when he was hit in the inside lane by a truck driven by Arthur Martin. The collision with the truck sent the pedestrian into the path of the second vehicle, a Hyundai being driven by Manuel Adams, 49.

The incident happened a little after 6:30 Wednesday morning.

Officials say both vehicles were heading southbound on Eubank when the crash occurred.

The victim died at the scene and his name is not being released at this time.

Police questioned Adams in a parking lot nearby after he parked his vehicle and walked back to the scene.

Authorities have not said if the crash is considered a hit and run.

Adams was booked on an outstanding misdemeanor.

No one is charged in this crash at this time.

“We have all the vehicles and we have both drivers, so nobody's left, we have everybody that we have interviewing right now,” Sgt. Terre Molander said. “We have nobody in custody…we're still doing the investigation.”

Police say alcohol does not seem to be a factor.
