Plant worker dies in fall from scaffold

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man working at the General Mills cereal plant in Albuquerque died Wednesday morning after falling 30 feet from a scaffold.

The man in his 50s was in full cardiac arrest when medics arrived at the plant near Paseo del Norte and Jefferson NE, a spokesperson for the Albuquerque Fire Department told KRQE News 13. It is not yet clear if the man might have suffered a medical episode before the fall, she said.

The man's name has not yet been released.

General Mills management released a statement confirmed the death and said its thoughts and prayers are with the man's family as well as its Albuquerque employees.
