LOS ALAMOS, N.M. (KRQE) - More than 500 employees at Los Alamos national laboratory will be leaving the company as part of the lab's budget cuts.
LANL officials say 557 employees have volunteered to leave their positions in exchange for severance packages.
Last month, the lab announced it was cutting up to 800 jobs.
They have not said if they will have to layoff others.
The last day for those who are leaving voluntarily is April 5th.
