ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Just four months after announcing an eight percent decrease in the workforce, Hewlett Packard has announced more cuts.
On Monday Hewlett Packard announced they were planning to cut an additional 2,000 jobs bringing the total number of cuts to 29,000.
These changes are expected to be completed by October of 2014.
In July between 50 and 100 employees were let go from Rio Rancho's HP plant.
At this time there is no information available as to why the number of job cuts was increased.
In August HP posted the largest loss in its 73 year history.
