ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Two hospital networks focused on children will get plenty of extra money thanks to the IHOP restaurant franchise.
Tuesday is National Pancake Day, and to celebrate IHOP is offering guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes all day.
IHOP is encouraging people to make a donation in return for those pancakes.
"Since 2006, we've raised over $10 million for the IHOP corporation for the Shriner's and Children Miracle Network ," said IHOP District Manager Robert Blume. "This year our goal is to raise over $3 million."
In Albuquerque alone officials estimate they will serve over 30,000 pancakes served up with 60 gallons of syrup.
