DALLAS (KRQE/AP) - The dominant air carrier out of Albuquerque is looking into bringing customers across international borders.
Southwest Airlines, based in Dallas, announced this week a deal to sell travel to Mexico in 2010 through code-sharing with Mexican carrier Volaris, which is just two years old.
The airline has already said it would team with WestJet to offer travel to Canada by late 2009.
Routes and fares have not been released, but the agreements will eventually allow customers to check in on a Southwest flight and check their baggage to their final destination.
Southwest is also working with other carriers to provide service to Hawaii and the Caribbean.
