Veterans' market proffers local goodies

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A popular source of homegrown fruits and vegetables is back in business for the season in Albuquerque.

Veterans enrolled in the New Mexico Veterans Administration health-care system sell their home-grown produce every year at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center in southeast Albuquerque.

The market opened Wednesday for this first time this year and will be open every Wednesday until October. It operates from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The VA growers' market features fresh apples, beans, chile peppers, honey and other homegrown produce.
