ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A newly formed company will try to bring Eclipse Aviation out of bankruptcy and back into business.
The company, New Eclipse Acquisition, wants to bid for the assets of the Albuquerque based airplane manufacturer.
The group is headed by Phil Friedman of Wichita, who said this can be a good business opportunity, if it's handled correctly.
Friedman said they'd start by charging jet owners to get their planes certified.
Friedman said he believes they would hire around 400 workers during the first two years, with 200 more to follow later.
Eclipse Aviation closed its doors for financial reasons earlier this week.
