ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Chrysler LLC on Thursday announced it's cutting 789 dealerships across the country, including four in New Mexico and one in Durango, Colo.

The announcement doesn't necessarily mean the dealers will close. In the short term, they'll likely have a right to appeal to get off the list. They could also switch their lots to sell used cars or try to affiliate with another automaker.
