ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque Police are investigating a fatal overnight shooting in downtown Albuquerque.

Officials say one man was shot dead and another was shot in the arm outside the Sunshine Theater on Wednesday night after midnight.  The second victim was sent to the hospital.

The incident occurred in the parking lot west of the Sunshine Theater after a concert.

Witnesses tell police that a fight broke out between a group of women and the next thing that happened, bullets were flying and people were scattering.

Investigators anticipated being on scene for a number of hours throughout Thursday morning while they completed their investigation.

Several streets in downtown Albuquerque were closed off for several hours including Central Avenue between 2nd Street and 3rd Street.  The streets were closed off between Gold and Copper.

The identity of the victims have not been released.

Police do not have any suspects in custody.
