CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. (AP) - Officials at Cannon Air Force Base near Clovis say electricity will be shut down Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for repairs to the power grid.

Non-mission essential personnel have been ordered to stand by and are not reporting for duty until directed by their commanders.

Many services on the base are closed, including the bank, credit union, library, community center, commissary and the base clinic.

The dining facility is operating on its normal schedule with a limited menu.

Power was lost on the base early Thursday.
