Petry among 200 veterans at White House dinner

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - New Mexico’s Medal of Honor recipient, U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Leroy Petry will be among 200 war veterans who will honored at a formal white house dinner Wednesday.
The event is focusing on honoring the more than 1 million troops who served in Iraq.
Petry, who is from Santa Fe, saved the lives of two comrades when he threw a grenade away from them in Afghanistan in 2008.
He lost his hand in the process.
