CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. (AP) - Cannon Air Force Base's 27th Special Operations Group has a new commander.
Col. James Slife assumed command yesterday, replacing Col. James Cardoso, who will remain at the eastern New Mexico base as vice
wing commander, or the second in command.
Slife most recently was a program analyst in a Washington, D.C., directorate that advises the Department of Defense.
The 27th Special Operations Group deploys combat air power for missions worldwide.
