Locals honor veterans on Memorial Day

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Locals are paying tribute to the brave men and women and their families this Memorial Day.
A public Memorial Day Celebration is being held Monday at Sunset at Memorial Park in Albuquerque.
Mayor RJ Berry will pay tribute to those who have served in the Military and Military Cadets will be rendering a salute to individual grave sites of veterans.
Another celebration was held at New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park, with music and other elements in honor of veterans.
Governor Susana Martinez attended a tribute Monday morning at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
She’s ordered all flags be flown at half-staff in honor of American troops who have died.
In Rio Rancho people crowded alongside Country Club Drive to watch a special Memorial Day parade.
