ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Shoppers packed local shopping centers and malls Saturday, cashing in on gift cards and post Christmas specials.
"There's a lot of good deals. A lot of half-off sales trying to get rid of overstock I guess," shopper Eddie Loya said.
"[It's] not as good as Black Friday, but they're good enough," shopper Stefany Olivas said.
Judging by the size of the crowds at Albuquerque's Cottonwood Mall, lots of shoppers thought the sales were good enough.
Signs advertising deep discounts attracted shoppers to local stores.
The big crowds mean a lot of work for store employees, but managers told News 13 it's not a problem at all.
"Business is good. Parking lot was packed, jam-packed today.
Today is actually the day I parked the farthest believe it or not of all the days that I've worked," Matt Dyer with Pro-Image said.
