While many New Mexicans spent their Thanksgiving with family, firefighters at an Albuquerque station held their own Thanksgiving feast.
"It's almost like Thanksgiving anywhere else, but we get interrupted for things like house fires and medical emergencies," said Jarrod Bottinelli, a firefighter at Fire Station No. 5 in northeast Albuquerque.
Another firefighter said he doesn't mind giving up Thanksgiving, but is simply glad to have a job in the current economy.
