12 creative mock-tails for the holidays

Enjoy with family & friends: non-alcoholic drinks

(KRQE) - Add a little zest to your holiday festivities; try one - or all of these cheery non-alcoholic drink recipes. Print out these recipes [PDF].

1. North Pole Punch

3 oz grape juice
3 oz cranberry juice
4 oz cold sparkling water or seltzer

Pour the cranberry and grape juice into a highball glass with ice cubes.
Add the sparkling water.
Stir well.
Garnish with the lemon twist

2. Jingle All the Way

½ ounce lemon juice
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
2 ounces club soda
Dash of grenadine

Pineapple and orange slices for garnish

3. Santa Tini

1 ounce Monin pomegranate syrup
¼ of fresh lemon
3 ounces cranberry

Shake ingredients in a shaker and serve in chilled martini glasses with white sugar for glass trim

4. Fa La La La La…Low Fat Eggnog

4 ounces Low Calorie Eggnog
2 ounces of pineapple juice
½ ounces Monin gingerbread syrup

Serve in wine glass / garnish with pineapple wedge

5. Sleigh Bed Sangria

4 cups red grape juice
1 cup pink grapefruit juice
1 cup orange juice
1 tbsp. lime juice concentrate
1 liter club soda, cold
1 cup grapes
Orange
Lime

Mix the red grape juice, pink grapefruit juice and orange juice in the 2.5- quart pitcher.
Add a tablespoon of lime juice concentrate and blend.
Put the pitcher of juice in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the fruits to go in the non-alcoholic sangria punch.
Cut an orange into thin slices, no more than 1/8-inch thick.
Repeat this process with the lime.
De-stem and de-seed a bunch of grapes.
Add the prepared fruit and the cold club soda to the fruit juice mixture that you made earlier.
Give the non-alcoholic sangria a stir and it is ready to serve.
Return the unused portion to the refrigerator.

6. Candy Cane Cocoa

½ ounce Monin peppermint Syrup
Mug of hot cocoa

Mix and serve and top with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings.

7. Tree Topper

1 ounce Monin cherry syrup
Glass of hot cider

Serve in glass mug / garnish with cinnamon stick

8. Rudolph's Red Nose

1 ounce Monin cherry syrup
1 ounce simple syrup
6 mint leaves
½ ounce fresh lime juice
Fill with soda water

Muddle mint, syrups and lime juice then fill with soda water
Serve in large tumbler with ice / mint sprig to garnish

9. Santa’s Helper

½ ounce Monin pomegranate syrup
4 ounce lemonade
Top with 3 ounces fresh tea

Drink will appear layered.
Serve in tumbler with ice and garnish with mint sprig.

10. Poinsettia

1 ounce Monin passion fruit syrup
½ ounce cranberry juice
½ ounce lemon juice
Top with soda water

Serve in tumbler with ice and garnish with orange wedge

11. Jack Frost

6 ounce Eggnog
¾ oz Monin candied orange syrup

Serve in wine glass and garnish with orange wheel

12. White Christmas

3/4 cup hot coffee
1/4 cup heavy cream, scalded
1 tsp almond extract (to taste)

Combine all ingredients in a warm mug and serve.
Garnish with whipped cream (optional) and a cinnamon stick for stirring.
