Rain grounds balloons at Fiesta

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Rain was the big buzzkill Wednesday at Balloon Fiesta Park.

A soggy field and continued rain showers forced Fiesta officials to call off the launch early in the morning.

Although the balloons will not go up, the park is still open with many concession stands ready for business.

People were seen roaming the midway even with the wet conditions.

Admission to the field is free, as well as parking for Wednesday.

Weather permitting, the balloons will rise again for the rest of Fiesta which runs until Sunday.
