ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - In less than 24 hours, tens of thousands of people will be on their way to the Balloon Fiesta and if you've been there before, it can create quite a traffic jam.
The Park and Ride service has added a new location to their lots this year for a total of five convenient locations to catch the bus to the fiesta.
Those five locations include:
Hoffmantown Church
8888 Harper Road NE,
Park in the northeast lot only.
Cliff's Amusement Park
4800 Osuna Road NE
near San Mateo and I-25.
Coronado Mall
6600 Menaul Boulevard NE,
park in the southwest corner near San Pedro
Intel
(southern parking lot) located on Highway 528/Rio Rancho Blvd. Enter the Park & Ride lot at either Westside Blvd. or 21st street and follow the signs.
NEW LOCATION!
Parking lot at the southwest corner, Unser Crossing
Central Avenue SW and Unser Blvd. SW.
You can buy your tickets online, at the Balloon Fiesta Gift Shop, or at the Park and Ride lots.
The price break down for tickets are:
In Advance (valid before 12 Midnight for morning sessions or before 12 Noon for afternoon / evening sessions) Balloon Park admission is included. A 10% service charge will be added at time of purchase.
Adults (13-61) $12
Seniors (62 & older) $10
Children (6-12) $6
Children (5 and under) Free
Same day purchase at Park & Ride locations (tickets purchased after 12 Midnight for morning sessions and after 12 Noon for afternoon / evening sessions)
Balloon Park admission and service charge is included.
Adults & Seniors (13 and up) $20
Children (6-12) $10

The first bus takes off at 4:30 a.m. for the mornings sessions and 3:30 p.m. for the afternoons sessions. If you want to catch the first wave of balloons taking off, your best bet is to be on the bus that leaves no later than 6:45 a.m.
Because traffic is lighter during the week, Park & Ride will not be available on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
