Abruzzo honors husband at ascension

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Nancy Abruzzo, widow of famed balloonist, Richard Abruzzo, honored her late husband with a tribute ride in his balloon, along with their two children (Rico, age 8 and Mary Pat, age 13), at Saturday’s Mass Ascension.

Abruzzo started The Richard Abruzzo Foundation last week www.richardabruzzo.com in an effort to raise funds for The Balloon Museum and for a Lost Balloonist Tribute.

This Tuesday voters will have an opportunity to show their support for the GO Bond, which would allocate funds towards the Tribute. Nancy is working hard to raise the additional $500,000 matching funds needed.
