ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Goodwill Industries of New Mexico is offering residents a way to responsibly dispose of old computer equipment and benefit the charity.
Goodwill will take computer drop-offs at its donation centers in New Mexico. Donors can request a receipt for tax purposes.
Donors can also drop off monitors, printers and other computer equipment.
The group will then send the devices to Dell Inc., which, through its Reconnect partnership with Goodwill, will reuse or recycle the computers and give the proceeds back to Goodwill for its job training and employment services programs.
Computers, like most electronic equipment, contain materials that could harm the environment if disposed of improperly.
