Drivers to face construction in ABQ, SF

Final work will be underway on Interstate 40 in and around San Mateo and Carlisle this week.

Drivers should be prepared for alternating lane closures around that area, during both the day and night.

In Santa Fe, the orange barrels will also be out on Monday. Construction crews will be preparing to pave northbound Siler Road and eastbound Agua Fria.

Traffic lanes will be closed throughout the week through Oct. 23. Drivers are urged to find a different route.

The Siler Road extension is expected to be complete by April 2010.
