ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can occur after someone goes through a traumatic event like combat, assault or disaster. Most people have stress reactions after trauma.

PTSD is quite common among veterans. Researchers agree that increasing anxiety and PTSD among veterans is a direct correlation to increasing suicide rate among vets.
