ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Animal Humane is looking for pet-lovers to adopt two dogs they say have been shot.

Abraham, a year-and-a-half-old Rottweiler mix, was found in an abandoned house in Torrance County.

He was limping, and after an x-ray, vets say it appears he was shot in his front leg.

They removed the limb last week:

“His one leg that he has that he walks on will probably develop arthritis faster than if he had all four legs, but he should do really great, he should have a nice, comfortable life,” Chief Veterinary Officer Jacqueline Blanchette said.

This guy will be put up for adoption as soon as he's healthy.

Angus, a 2-year-old sharpei mix, came to animal humane with an eye injury.

His owners think a neighbor shot him in the eye with a BB gun.

They had to surrender him because they couldn't afford to take care of him.

His eye was removed.
