Before entering into broadcast journalism I spent a couple of years studying architecture at USC but journalism came naturally to me. As a kid, if I wasn’t drawing up floor plans for houses, hotels and schools, I was putting on fake newscasts and radio call-in shows.
With journalism I enjoy the writing, the story-telling, and putting together what I like to think of as “mini-movies”. I am grateful to be able to work in a market that my family calls home. Knowing that the stories I cover affect people I love, makes me care more about the stories that affect them.
I began at KRQE News 13 in 1999 and I’m a journalist because I like being the first to know about things, and the first to let people know what’s going on.
