Scott was born and raised in Roseville, California. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Broadcast Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.

Scott has worked in Louisiana for KALB-5, reporting the news from 2010-2011. The biggest story he covered was the Mississippi River flooding.
