On Special Assignment Reporter

I feel incredibly lucky to be able to tell stories of New Mexicans. It's a responsibility I take very seriously. But it's also a great privilege. Everyday, I learn something new and meet someone new. There is never a dull moment.

I moved to the Land of Enchantment in October 2010. I immediately fell in love with the amazing sunsets and the food (anything smothered in green chile is my favorite). I truly believe New Mexico is one of the country's best kept secrets.

Before making my way to New Mexico's desert plains, I was surrounded by Michigan's great lakes while working as a reporter/video journalist at WILX-TV, the NBC affiliate, in Lansing, MI. There, I covered stories of hard-working, struggling workers in a devastated auto industry to the destruction left by severe thunderstorms and the happenings of state government.

I graduated with a major in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism. I also have a minor in art history. I bring my school spirit everywhere I go. I'm currently on of the board of directors for the USC Alumni Association of New Mexico.

At KRQE News 13, I love that I am a general assignment reporter because I have such a wide variety of interests; you’ll often find me in front of and behind the camera covering New Mexico politics in Santa Fe.

When I'm not working, I love exploring the state, trying new food, snowboarding, going to church, visiting friends and family, traveling, and cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers and USC Trojans to the point of being obnoxious.

Please feel free to email, Facebook or Tweet me. I'd love to hear from you.
