Having lived in New Mexico for two years now, I've come to love the people, culture and of course the food!

I'm from Arizona and most of my immediate family still lives there.

My journalistic endeavors have taken me across the country and back, it’s been an amazing ride, but I am happy to be back in the Southwest.

I graduated from Arizona State's Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications with a B.A. and landed my first reporting job in St. George, Utah shortly after.

From there it was on to Huntington, West Virginia where I was able to work with some talented veteran reporters who taught me to look 'beyond the sound bites' and in the process inspired me to tell better stories.

I also learned some new tricks behind the camera as well.

After more than a year in West Virginia, I was ready to come back to the Southwest.

I joined KRQE News 13 in 2010 starting off in Farmington, covering stories in the Four Corners region. Talk about an underrated area of the state! I loved my time in Farmington; I was welcomed with open arms by the communities around the Four Corners who had so many stories just waiting to be told.

After 9 months in Farmington I was brought to Albuquerque where I've been since.

When I'm not working... (which is rare)... I like checking out new restaurants, I'm a BIG foodie, traveling around the state & country as well as volunteering at Animal Humane as a dog walker.

I'm really enjoying my time in New Mexico & at KRQE, each day on the job brings an exciting new challenge in covering the stories that impact the entire state, it's a challenge I hope to continue to rise up to.
