Young people today face a bewildering array of financialchoices. Whether entering the work force directly out of highschool, going into military service, or pursuing additionaleducational opportunities, the new graduate must make decisionsthat can affect his or her life for years to come.
The Focus on the Future program equips high school students withthe tools they need to make appropriate decisions regarding saving,investing, and the prudent use of credit.
Focus on the Future is a special event presented by localcommunity volunteers who work with students during regular schoolhours in the classroom. In the two-hour program, students getpractical guidance on:
- Establishing a banking relationship
- Creating a monthly budget
- Obtaining basic insurance coverage
- Managing credit card debt
- Buying a home
- Saving and investing
