I'm looking to make a difference through journalism, and give a voice to those that may not otherwise have one. I love meeting new people, and telling their stories.
I'm originally from Albuquerque, where much of my family still resides, but spent most of my life growing up in Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I'm happy to be back in the Land of Enchantment, covering news in Southeastern New Mexico.
I've always had a passion for live television and my first jobs in TV were behind the scenes for various sports networks.
I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio Television and Film, with a concentration on Electronic News and Journalism. We had a completely hands-on program, where I reported, anchored, and produced our live daily newscasts at North Texas Television. While I was there, our student-run newscast won three Emmy awards.
My internship with WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas was another vital part of my education. There, I gained more hands-on experience, and spent time learning anything and everything I could from staff in all trades.
I'm always learning and every day at KRQE News 13 is a new experience I look forward to. Besides work, I love baseball, exploring the outdoors, trying new adventures, and hanging out with friends and family and my Great Dane, Wyatt.
I'm always looking for stories, so feel free to email me.
